(If only one soul would have received eternal life through Him, do we think He would have still died on the cross? Our congregation as a whole said, YES! Can you say: He would...even if that person were [insert your name here] me. )
Very few people in Scripture were upset nor rejected the message of Jesus Christ and His death. But as soon as they mentioned His "Resurrection from the Dead", "Still being alive" and being "The Creator in whom "We live, and move, and exist" [or "have our being"], opposition came. Rejection, anger, resistance to Jesus saying: "I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life, no one can come to the Father except through me." [John 14:6]
Any time we move FORWARD in our relationship with Jesus Christ, there will be opposition and resistance (even from within) because The Lord is growing us up and out of our comfort zones to WIN SOULS. "HE IS COMING SOON!!!}
All those who truly love the LORD and love people will with great compassion and love speak the message: Repent of sins, turn to Him, He'll give true life.
In the Scriptures above, Paul exhibited great love for souls (whether Jews or Gentiles - non-Jews) and found common-ground without compromise but with great compassion and self-sacrifice in hopes that "some" would come to know Christ Jesus as their Savior.
Philippians 2:9-11 (NLT) "Therefore, God elevated him to the place of highest honor and gave him the name above all other names, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue declare that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father."
If you do not know Jesus Christ as your personal Savior, He is just asking for your to ask Him to forgive you of your sins (recognizing that all have sinned and come short of the Glory of God) and that you need Him to be your Savior. Ask Him in true repentance (godly sorrow) and turn to Him completely. Let Him give you the Love, Peace and Joy that only He can give. He transforms our lives as we surrender to Him. It is a true relationship and very personal. Therefore, it isn't one-sided. We participate in this relationship by talking to Him about everything, as well as being quiet and listening to what His response is. HIS WORD [The Bible] is LIFE GIVING. If we are to learn more about "How to Live for Him," we will find this in His Word.
"Jesus, HELP!" is a wonderful prayer that He listens to. I say this prayer often.
Another example of prayer: "Jesus, I need you. I ask you to forgive me of all sin, and show me how to live for you. Please save me and give me eternal life. I surrender my life, my will, my hopes and dreams to you. You created me for Your purpose. Will you show me your ways to learn and serve you?"
Any prayer that comes from your heart, He will hear.
God bless you and keep you. He loves you like no other will ever love you. You are HIGHLY VALUED in His eyes.

Pastor Glenda Kermode
